Last Tripe and Onions for the 2019 Season
Sunday’s Tripe and Onions has had another successful year with good participation in both divisions. Over 20 boats in all.
The race allows both small and larger yachts to compete in a friendly atmosphere in their own divisions, followed by a fantastic B.Y.O BBQ lunch with both skippers and crew enjoying good rivalry and debate .
Over 20 years ago P.C Capt. Bob McGregor was originally awarded the perpetual Tripe and Onions trophy by Bill Pepper (Maralinga) and the tradition lives on.We were delighted that our Club provided individual winner plaques for each division.
The participation by our sailors has been competitive throughout the season.
We congratulate Magic and Shorething as winners in their respective divisions. With the T&O division 2nd place went to Ellen Lewis and 3rd to Bravado. In the Steak & Mushroom division 2nd place went to Paragon and 3rd to Sojourn.
John Dusting was awarded the ‘Golden Rivet’ for his great endeavours.
Special thanks goes to our Sponsor Fitzgerald Optometry of Williamstown who has supported this race for many of years.
Signing off for the Season. See you all in October.
